Blog, in general, can have any theme, and it doesn’t matter.
Don’t believe me? Go check out some of the most popular blogs and you will see very simple themes. All that matters in a blog is content.
Having said that, a bad theme can ruin it all for you as well.
For some niches, it’s good to have a special design.
For instance, a photography blog should have layouts suitable for big pictures and galleries.
And a travel blog should have an Instagram feed. And, a personal blog for females should have a feminine look.
Other than that, a general blog can have a simple design, have a distraction-free reading.
I literally went through all the recent themes and picked my personal best.
I suggest you pick the one specifically designed for a blog rather than picking one with more options.
Generally, we go for ones with many sales. But bigger sales doesn’t mean it’s always better. Because the older themes may have significantly more sales than the new ones. So, it’s not that really matters.
Take your time to go through each one. Look for things you want to have in your blog before you make the purchase. And going through the comment section does help to find out about their quality of support.
